A Miracle of Life

I was always under the impression that bulbs needed soil and water to grow, but just look at this.

I was given this daffodil bulb after I`d planted all my others and kept forgetting to set it. It just sat in a saucer on my kitchen windowsill. Then I spotted a few weeks ago that it was beginning to grow. I left it as it was to see what would happen- and this was the result - a beautiful flower.
